Brandon Flowers Covers Oasis with His Son at Salt Lake City Show

At Salt Lake City’s Red Butte Garden on September 11, Brandon Flowers brought his son Henry onstage for Oasis’ “Don’t Look Back in Anger.” Henry played acoustic guitar while Flowers sang the 1995 single, a moment captured in fan footage that has since circulated online.

The appearance came during Flowers’ THRASHER Tour, which continues September 12 at Denver’s Ogden Theatre. The 20-song set opened with “The Red Ground” from Flowers’ new album, THRASHER, and included eight songs from the record, among them “Plans,” “Paradise,” and “Tiger’s Blood.” Flowers also drew from his solo albums Flamingo and The Desired Effect, playing “Crossfire,” “Only the Young,” and “Can’t Deny My Love.”

Later, he moved into Killers material, including “Mr. Brightside,” “In the Car Outside,” “In Another Life,” and “Read My Mind,” before closing with “An American Dream.” The show followed Flowers’ recent collaboration with Brian Fallon on “Love at the End of the World,” from Fallon’s album Not Bad For New Jersey, released earlier this week.
