Two new book projects, announced as part of this year’s Festa, show the group turning to print to explain their lyrics and share Korean recipes tied to their album eras.
As part of its yearly BTS Festa anniversary celebration, the group has confirmed two book releases for September 15 through a partnership with Running Press, CAKE Corp, and BigHit Music. The projects shift BTS’s direct communication with fans onto the page, following a period when most members are serving in South Korea’s military and group activities are limited.
BTS Lyrics Inside gathers selected songs from Proof and The Most Beautiful Moment in Life — among them “Boy With Luv,” “Spring Day,” “Life Goes On,” and “Yet to Come” — with commentary from RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook on the writing and intent. Lyrics appear in Korean alongside English translations, a format that reinforces the publisher’s stated goal of reducing language and cultural barriers for international fans.
The BTS Recipe Book uses the group’s album eras as a starting point for Korean dishes like ginseng chicken soup, braised beef ribs, and sugar-filled griddlecakes. Digital codes bundled with the book unlock video content with cooking tips and member food commentary, including recipes that have previously appeared on Run BTS! or In the Soop.
Running Press Vice President Shannon Fabricant described the titles as a chance to deliver “inside perspectives” to a dedicated fanbase. The multi-book agreement runs through 2027, meaning more such projects are already in the pipeline.
