Sorcha Richardson, AE MAK and Zaska Lead Culture Night at Bolands Mills

Dublin’s Bolands Mills will open its second Culture Night programme on Friday 18 September with a building-wide event that trades the usual single-stage format for a route through the former flour-mill complex. Sorcha Richardson, AE MAK and Zaska headline ‘Milling About: Culture in Every Corner’ on The Factory’s main stage, a room with a history that includes U2 and David Bowie.

The free programme runs from 6:30pm to 9:30pm and spreads music, visual art, storytelling and movement across the Grand Canal Dock site. Marcus O’Laoire will play an all-vinyl DJ set by the water at Grindstone Coffee, while muralist Kevin Bohan paints live in Bolands Square. His work follows a workshop with a local neurodiversity group and a Dublin poet, and will be displayed inside The Factory after the event.

Elsewhere, Don’t Kill My Vibe’s ‘In the Chair’ has owners Anja and Andrea styling four local people as they recall changes in the neighbourhood. Reformation will run movement sessions, and The Hot Box sauna offers an immersive ritual, with pre-booking required. Bricknasty closes the night with a stripped-back set at Daphni. It’s a deliberately diffused lineup, built around the building rather than a headline slot.
