The Québec duo will play their first Australian shows next year, with four dates across Melbourne, Meredith, Adelaide and Sydney.
The Québec duo Angine de Poitrine have confirmed their first Australian shows, scheduled for March 2027. The run covers four stops: Melbourne, Meredith, Adelaide and Sydney. The Meredith date places them on the Golden Plains Festival bill, whose 2027 edition is led by Geese, Underworld and Peter Garrett & The Alter Egos.
A debut visit built around a festival slot rather than a standalone club tour is the usual arithmetic for international acts reaching Australia. The economics of the trip rarely support a first pass through the country without an anchor date, and Golden Plains provides one: a rural Victorian audience that city shows alone would not deliver. Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney then fill out the itinerary around it.
The lead time is notable. Announcing a tour fourteen months ahead locks in a routing plan long before most of the supporting detail exists. Venues, ticket information and any additional activity have not been disclosed, which leaves the announcement closer to a schedule than a campaign.
What the four dates confirm is that the duo’s reach now extends to a market it has not yet played. Whether that translates into a repeat visit depends on how the March shows land, but the structure of this first trip already says something about how the Australian circuit absorbs new international names: one festival, three cities, and a long runway before any of it happens.
