Disco Pogo to Publish Expanded Andrew Weatherall Tribute Book

The new hardback collects the best of the sold-out 2020 Jockey Slut tribute alongside more than 200 pages of fresh essays, interviews, and photography, with the Weatherall estate’s full cooperation.

Disco Pogo will release a comprehensive tribute to Andrew Weatherall later this year. The 320-page hardback, simply titled A Disco Pogo Tribute To Andrew Weatherall, serves as the overdue follow-up to the now sold-out Jockey Slut tribute from 2020. Rather than just reprint the earlier edition, the publisher has built something larger: the book includes the best material from that first volume, plus over 200 pages of new essays, oral histories, interviews and photography.

This is the fourth entry in Disco Pogo’s Tribute series, which previously documented Daft Punk, Aphex Twin and LCD Soundsystem. For the Weatherall book, the contributors are people who worked closely with him — writers, producers, DJs, designers and friends who knew his world from the inside. The result isn’t a distant retrospective but a record built from direct proximity.

The project has the full cooperation of the Weatherall estate, which will also receive a share of the profits. In an era when many legacy publications feel rushed or impersonal, the involvement of those closest to Weatherall gives this one a different weight. It acknowledges that his influence — on clubs, radio, production and UK underground culture — still operates on its own terms.
