Ezra Collective Return With ‘Jubilee Feeling’ Ahead of New Album

Ezra Collective have shared “Jubilee Feeling,” the latest preview of their new album, Here Because Of Hope, due September 11. The track is a group-focused instrumental built on a heavy beat and a direct sense of communal lift. Joe Armon-Jones’s piano carries much of the melodic weight, keeping the composition anchored while the rhythm section works around it.

The video, directed by Ebenezer Blanche and shot in London, frames the song through an early-2000s night out, complete with a Nokia 3310 in the opening scene. It leans on millennial reference points without turning them into costume, emphasizing movement and release over nostalgia.

Femi Koleoso described the group’s intent as the collision of “raving and partying like you’re listening to classic British electronic music, but hearing Bebop and Jazz language.” That sense of contrast — old dress codes and new musical language — gives the track a specific tension: formality dissolving into movement.

Ezra Collective will tour the UK later this year, including four sold-out nights at O2 Academy Brixton. The run places the album’s ideas in front of one of the band’s largest London audiences to date, with “Jubilee Feeling” positioned as the clearest statement of its tone.
