Future has released "Ya Hit," the track he is calling the first official song from a forthcoming album. The record brings Drake, Travis Scott and Florida rapper Loe Shimmy onto the same cut, with an ATL Jacob beat underneath and adlibs from Sexyy Red. The four-way collaboration arrived with cover art by Jim Joe and Lewy, and a video on the Trapped channel.
The song's path to release is worth noting. It was first heard in preview at Drake's 40th birthday celebration in New York City, before Drake was confirmed as a featured voice on it. When Future announced the single earlier in the week, he named no collaborators at all. The names surfaced with the record itself.
"Ya Hit" lands six months after The Real Me, Future's dense, inward-looking record about truth and persona. Where that album kept its focus tight, this one opens the frame: three of the biggest names in rap sharing a beat, plus a Florida underground rapper whose presence changes the temperature of the room. It is Future and Drake's second joint effort this year, following the Iceman cut "Ran to Atlanta," and Drake's first with Scott since 2023's "Meltdown."
Details of the new album remain scarce. Future headlines Camp Flog Gnaw in Los Angeles next, and he used an X post this week to signal more: "Bringin the static back #INFINITY." The phrase suggests a return to something rawer, and the hashtag points toward a title or a concept still under wraps.
Listen for how the four voices divide the ATL Jacob beat. Future has spent a decade building records where the guest list is part of the architecture, and "Ya Hit" sets Drake, Scott and Loe Shimmy in a row without letting any one of them own the track. Sexyy Red's adlibs sit underneath, a small choice that keeps the center of gravity with the headliner. The video, from the Trapped channel, gives the collaboration a visual frame; the album, whenever it lands, will have to carry the rest.
