Geese Add Extra Dates to Fall Tour After Presale Demand

The Brooklyn band extends its North American run with second shows in six cities and a third night in Los Angeles, following strong ticket sales for the initial dates.

Geese expanded an already busy fall tour this week, adding new shows in multiple cities after presales opened. The Brooklyn band now plays additional nights in Oakland, Seattle, Chicago, Toronto, Philadelphia, and Washington DC, and a third Los Angeles date has been scheduled. Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday, May 1 at 10 AM local.

The tour supports Getting Killed, the four-piece’s second album and a record that landed near the top of this publication’s year-end list. Built around a sharper, more direct sound than the sprawling debut, it gave the band a set of songs well suited to a long road run. That the tour grew organically, with extra dates added in real time rather than planned from the start, says something about the momentum behind it.

An NYC stop is set for October 2 at Forest Hills Stadium, a clear step up in venue size. The band also plays Governors Ball on June 7, alongside a handful of other festival appearances through the summer. The fall routing stretches through major markets and keeps the group on tour deep into the season. For a young band still establishing its live footing, the scale of this run is a quiet marker of where things stand.
