Lindsey Buckingham Says Stevie Nicks and Him Are “Talking All the Time Now”

The famously volatile partnership between Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks has entered a quieter phase. Buckingham told E! News that the two are “talking all the time now,” a shift he credits to their ongoing work on an upcoming Apple TV+ documentary about Fleetwood Mac.

The band fired Buckingham in 2018, and Nicks later said it was her decision. By 2024, she claimed Fleetwood Mac ended with Christine McVie’s death and that she had spoken to Buckingham “for about three minutes” at McVie’s memorial — adding she had given him “more than 300 million chances.”

Now, Buckingham describes the documentary process as “a very circular healing process for all of us.” He said the ejection from the band was something “no one was happy about,” but that it has “been healed and worked out.”

Whether that translates into new music or a reunion remains vague. Buckingham, who recently reissued the pre-Mac Buckingham Nicks album, did little to dampen speculation. “Next year should be a pretty interesting year,” he said, “because I think quite a few things will reveal themselves.”

The renewed contact marks a notable reversal from decades of public friction — and leaves the band’s unfinished business as open as Buckingham’s hints.
