triple j has named the first artists for its 2026 One Night Stand, with Ninajirachi, DMA’S, and Genesis Owusu leading the bill. The host town will be announced on 15 July.
triple j’s One Night Stand will return in 2026 with a lineup headed by Ninajirachi, DMA’s, and Genesis Owusu. MAY-A and Beddy Rays complete the bill for the free, all-ages event, which sets up in a different regional town each year. The location stays secret until 15 July.
For an event built on bringing national acts to towns that rarely see them, the selection leans into the station’s current voice: Ninajirachi’s digital pop, DMA’S’ lasting guitar catalog, and Genesis Owusu’s refusal to stay inside a single genre. MAY-A arrives on the back of new single “Settles,” a turn from the leaving narratives she’s written across four years. It’s a song about staying put, and it lands as she navigates a summer that includes a sold-out show at Lorde’s All Points East.
The host town reveal in mid-July will define the next edition of a festival designed to reflect local Australian life outward—without smoothing over its edges.
