Shakira Extends Madrid Residency to 13 Dates After Amazon Music Livestream Record

A thirteenth and final Madrid show, billed as a farewell with unnamed guests, follows a global broadcast that Billboard reports became Amazon Music’s most-watched livestream by a female artist.

Shakira has added a thirteenth and final date to her Madrid residency, extending the run through October 12 at Estadio Shakira at Iberdrola Music. Billed as a “Grand Farewell with Friends,” the concert closes the Madrid leg of the “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour” and promises special guests the announcement did not name. Artist pre-sale opens Tuesday, October 6 at 9:00 a.m. ET through Ticketmaster, with general on-sale following Wednesday, October 7 at 4:00 a.m. ET.

The extra date arrives after her Saturday show was carried globally by Amazon Music, Prime Video, and Twitch, her first full-concert livestream. According to Billboard, it became Amazon Music’s most-watched livestream by a female artist. Dua Lipa appeared unannounced that night to perform “Antología” with her.

The residency itself is a return rather than a routine stop: her first performances in Spain in eight years, and the only European residency on the current tour. Its structure has leaned on guests, with Alejandro Sanz, Laura Pausini, and Manuel Turizo among those who have joined her on stage.

That format explains the framing of the final night. Each date becomes a different cast rather than a repeat of the same set, and leaving the farewell’s guests unannounced keeps the closing show the one Madrid audience members cannot predict in advance.
