The duo’s first album, produced by Loren Humphrey, lands in August via Island Records. A video for fan favourite ‘Pin Up Boys’, directed by SNL UK’s Jack Shep, arrives ahead of their set at 2000trees.
Westside Cowboy have set a date for their debut album. ‘It Goes On’, produced by Loren Humphrey, will be released in August via Island Records. The announcement is accompanied by a video for ‘Pin Up Boys’, a track that has already built a following without a full release behind it. The clip was directed by Jack Shep, known for his work on SNL UK.
The band—vocalist Soren Bryce and guitarist Daniel P. Carter—came together with a clear resistance to easy templates. In conversation with Dork, they describe a process built on pushing each other, refusing comfort in favour of something less predictable. That friction informs their early material, including the song now put to image.
Next month, Westside Cowboy play 2000trees. It will be only their fourth live show. Moving from formation to festival slot with so few performances behind them signals an unusual efficiency, one matched by the directness of the music itself.
The album’s August arrival gives the video and the festival date their context, positioning ‘It Goes On’ as the next step for a band that has already moved past the usual paces.
