WHATMORE Share New Single ‘Last Time’

The New York five-piece WHATMORE have released a new single, “Last Time,” following last year’s self-titled debut album. The track balances a clean indie-rock guitar line with a relaxed hip-hop rhythm, pulling the two threads together without forcing either into the foreground.

Members Cisco Swank, Yoshi T., Jackson August, Sebastiano, and Elijah Judah shape the song around a light, structural contrast. The riff opens with a sharp, propulsive snap, then loosens into a beat that carries the group’s melodic construction. It’s a studied mix, not a collision, and the video underlines that composure by evoking the chaotic, fisheye-lens energy of early Spike Jonze clips and the character-driven style of The Pharcyde.

WHATMORE will play Reading and Leeds Festival this summer, with a single London headline show at The Lower Third on September 1st. The timing of the release keeps the focus on forward movement, as the group continue to define their lane outside of easy genre tags.
