The TDE rapper returns with his first album in five years, previewed by a stark, cinematic teaser video.
Isaiah Rashad has announced his third studio album, “It’s Been Awful,” with a release date of May 1, 2026. The news arrived via a brief, cryptic teaser video shared today.
The visual shows the rapper, appearing bloodied, walking unsteadily across a field before falling to the ground. The album’s title and date are superimposed on the stark imagery. A new dedicated Instagram page for the project confirms the details.
This marks Rashad’s first full length release since 2021’s “The House Is Burning.” His return follows a period of personal scrutiny after a 2022 video leak, after which he publicly identified as sexually fluid.
Following the album’s release, Rashad will resume touring for the 10th anniversary of his seminal 2014 debut, “Cilvia Demo.” The new record arrives as a significant moment for the Top Dawg Entertainment artist, signaling a focused re entry into music.
