A planned stadium show in Poland is scrapped, following similar moves by authorities in the UK and France.
A stadium concert in Poland has become the latest European date for Kanye West to be canceled. The artist was scheduled to perform at Slaski Stadium on June 19, but the venue has now scrapped those plans.
This follows a pattern of cancellations and postponements for West’s intended European tour. UK authorities previously denied him entry, leading to the cancellation of his headline slot at London’s Wireless Festival. A show in Marseilles, France, was also postponed indefinitely after local authorities voiced opposition.
The moves by European venues and governments come in the wake of the artist’s long history of antisemitic remarks and his recent use of Nazi imagery. The continued cancellations indicate a significant barrier to large scale touring in the region for the foreseeable future.
