Behringer Opens Preorders for Jupiter-Inspired JT-2 Synth

The German manufacturer’s long-awaited JT-2, a paraphonic desktop synth drawing from Roland’s Jupiter lineage, is finally available for preorder after two years of silence.

Behringer has opened preorders for the JT-2, a paraphonic desktop synth first teased in 2023 with no release date attached. The unit reappeared at this year’s NAMM show, and now the wait is ending.

The JT-2 sits in Behringer’s hybrid Eurorack/desktop format. It works standalone on a desk, but modular users can pop it out of its enclosure to integrate the 80HP module into a larger setup. Dual VCOs deliver sawtooth, triangle, and pulse waveforms.

The synth draws clear inspiration from Roland’s Jupiter series, a line known for its lush analog character and deep cultural footprint in electronic music. Behringer has made no secret of that reference point. The JT-2 aims to offer comparable architecture at a fraction of the vintage market price.

No official shipping date has been announced, but the preorder opening signals that production units are finally moving. For anyone who has watched this instrument disappear and reappear over two years, that alone is news worth noting.
