Sleeping with Sirens Return with Heavier Surprise Single “Paralyzed”

The band dropped the track without warning, marking a sharper turn than their last few records suggested.

Sleeping with Sirens released a new single, “Paralyzed,” without any buildup earlier this week. The surprise drop is its own story, but the sound is what sticks. It’s heavier, more direct, and less polished than what the Orlando group has leaned into lately.

Their last full-length, Complete Collapse (2022), had its aggressive moments but mostly pushed toward a cleaner, more melodic rock direction. “Paralyzed” feels like a deliberate step back from that sheen. The riffs carry weight, the structure is tight, and Kellin Quinn’s vocal lines cut with an urgency that’s been dialed down on recent records. It doesn’t scream for attention, but it doesn’t need to.

No word yet on whether this signals an album or just a standalone shot. The band hasn’t commented publicly. Still, a release this abrupt and this heavy feels chosen, not random. In a scene where comfort often takes over, a little friction counts.
