The deathcore mainstays bring two cuts from their 2023 album Step Into the Light to the stage in a new clip.
The Acacia Strain have released a live video for the tracks “Chain” and “Fresh Bones,” both lifted from their 2023 album Step Into the Light. The footage captures the band in a club setting, performing the two songs back-to-back without the gloss of studio production.
No extra information accompanies the release, which keeps the focus squarely on the band’s stage presence. That presence has always been a defining element of The Acacia Strain’s longevity. Over nearly two decades, the Massachusetts group built a reputation around shows that feel physically heavy, an experience rarely translated well in official live recordings. This clip, raw and straightforward, comes closer than most.
The album itself marked another chapter in a career that has moved from early deathcore into slower, more deliberate territories. “Chain” and “Fresh Bones” exemplify that shift, leaning on crushing riffs and a deliberate pace. Hearing them in a live setting reinforces how the songs were built for exactly this context.
No tour announcement or further releases are tied to the video. It exists simply as a snapshot of the band in their element.
