The four-track release combines euphoric 2am electro with warm, 303-laced breaks, adding another considered chapter to the Spanish label’s catalog.
Sound Synthesis has returned to Analogical Force with Radical Meditation, a four-track EP that stays close to the established contours of electro and breaks. The Spanish label, known for balancing forward-facing experimentation with deep genre respect, frames the release in its usual meticulous visual and sonic aesthetic.
The title track kicks off with a rush of hi-octane euphoria, built for late-night hands-in-the-air moments. It’s a straight 8 belter that understands exactly what it’s aiming for. “Embracing Change” eases the pressure, dropping the tempo and settling into warm, melancholic pads wrapped around a 303 line that could slide into any set from the past three decades without feeling like a history lesson.
“Psychological Force” threads a similar 303 atmosphere through bubbling bass synths and filtering pads, locked tight on the groove. Its strength comes from restraint and clean architecture rather than any sudden left turns. Closer “Emozzjoni” continues in that mode, well-produced and technically sharp, though its territory feels largely charted by the earlier tracks. A savage arpeggiated synth line arrives midway, hinting at the kind of unexpected detour that might have pushed the EP further, but the track settles back into familiar ground.
As a whole, Radical Meditation fits neatly into Analogical Force’s catalog: a release that understands its traditions deeply and executes them with precision. The EP is available now on Bandcamp.
