Wallen grabs the guard’s phone—which was apparently filming—and, without breaking stride, chucks it backward over his head and into the crowd.

The moment occurred just a day before Wallen’s scheduled Saturday show in the same city was canceled due to an approaching storm that never arrived. That announcement came late, but not before the Friday gig had already left its mark.

Security-guard phone retrieval is not a typical concert ritual. The clip, first shared on Reddit and later amplified by Twitter account @countrysayingss, shows the guard standing still, holding the phone up toward the stage. Wallen’s reaction is immediate.
