The former Jackass star says he has no issues with the rest of the cast, but “I never want to see them ever again in my life.”
The idea of Bam Margera returning for another Jackass project is dead. “As far as a reunion, it’s not going to happen, not in 10 million years,” he told Rolling Stone. He was clear that the rest of the cast isn’t the problem. “I don’t have any bad blood with the cast of Jackass. It’s just the decisions that Johnny Knoxville and [director] Jeff Tremaine decided to make. I never want to see them ever again in my life.”
The rift stretches back to the making of Jackass Forever. In 2020, Paramount fired Margera after he allegedly breached a strict wellness agreement — put in place as his substance abuse drew concern — by taking unprescribed amphetamines. Margera saw the arrangement as a setup. He sued the studio, Knoxville, and Tremaine, saying the producers treated him inhumanely and strung him along over $5 million. The suit was later settled.
Knoxville has rarely addressed the fallout, but he told GQ this year that the hard line was born of genuine concern. “We did draw a hard line,” he said. “And we did it out of, ‘This is our chance to really help him’ … Selfishly, I would love him to be in my life again. But that’s on his own time.” For now, that time remains remote.
