The Glasgow band’s second album lands October 2nd on EMI North, four years after their acclaimed debut ‘Unlearning’. New single ‘Lies’ is out now.
Glaswegian outfit walt disco have confirmed details of their second album. The self-titled record is set for release on October 2nd through EMI North, marking their debut on the label. It follows the band’s first album ‘Unlearning’, which arrived in 2022 to strong notices and an AIM Award nomination for Best Independent Album.
The album was written over a four-year period and is presented as a definitive statement. Alongside the announcement, the band have shared ‘Lies’, a single that recasts their glamorous indie-dance into something sharper and more urgent. The track is brash and structurally restless, sidestepping predictable buildups in favour of a taut, live-wired energy.
walt disco will play Glasgow Art School on September 5th as part of the Songs Of Solidarity event, an early opportunity to hear the new material in a live setting.
