Jacques Greene Announces Third Album JG

The Montreal producer returns October 16 with a LuckyMe release that foregrounds personal connections over rigid concepts.

Jacques Greene will release his third solo album, JG, on October 16 via LuckyMe. The announcement arrives with lead single “Presence,” a bass-heavy two-step track that signals the record’s direct, relationship-driven approach.

The 11-track album draws entirely on Greene’s existing network. Features from DJ Boring, umru, SAM-E, and others came about organically, not through strategic planning. In a press statement, Greene explained the intent: “This record moves away from concepts and follows an intuition for places where I wanted to be and where I would be wanted.” One example: “The track with Noah [SEES0000] is here because I love it, but also because we walked from his studio to get Sonoran tacos and talked about life.”

Alongside the familiar collaborators, JG includes appearances by Ouri, Jonah Yano, CFCF, crushed, and Sølv. Greene’s last solo full-length was 2019’s Dawn Chorus; earlier this year, he and Nosaj Thing issued a self-titled record as Verses GT.
