Morrissey Pulls Out of Las Vegas Residency, Vague About ‘Logistical Challenges’

The singer had been booked for August 14, 15, 18, and 19, but ticket holders were told Friday that the run is off. The Wynn has scrubbed the dates from its website, and Ticketmaster now lists the events as canceled. Morrissey’s own site, at the time of writing, still shows the residency as scheduled.

The short notice and opaque wording fit an established pattern. Morrissey’s live commitments have become famously unreliable. This year alone, California dates were dropped after what was called a reaction to prescription medication; an Atlanta show was scrapped due to artist illness; St. Louis fell to the flu; a Dominican Republic booking didn’t happen for “reasons completely beyond our control”; a Florida date disappeared without explanation; and in Valencia, organizers said sleep deprivation linked to a nearby festival left him in “a catatonic state.” In 2025, he canceled 22 scheduled performances outright and postponed another 10.

For the Las Vegas shows, no further specifics have been given. Morrissey last performed a week ago in Portugal. His next scheduled appearance is mid-September at Chicago’s Riot Fest.
