Robert Clivillés filed a federal lawsuit against Freedom Williams on Friday, asking a court to stop the rapper from using the C+C Music Factory name and seeking at least $30 million in damages. The suit, obtained by Rolling Stone, accuses Williams of trademark infringement, fraud with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and misrepresenting himself as a founding member of the group.
