Ruxpin Releases Anemoia via Touched Music

Icelandic producer Ruxpin has released a new album, Anemoia, through Touched Music. It arrives as the latest chapter in a catalog that reaches back to 2003’s Magrathea and 2006’s Elysium, records that placed him on labels including Mikrolux and Uni.

Ruxpin, the project of Jonas, has often been filed under melodic IDM, but that label flattens the details. His music works less through abstraction for its own sake and more through carefully layered electronic narratives. Early releases carried an insular, technology-driven atmosphere, yet underneath there was always a warmer, more delicate pulse. Anemoia continues that approach rather than abandoning it.

The new record does not signal a sharp stylistic break. Instead, it consolidates elements that have long defined the project: precise production, emotional clarity, and a compositional patience uncommon in the wider field.
