200 Stab Wounds Announce Lowest Form, Share Opening Track “Pangs of Conscience”

Cleveland death metal band 200 Stab Wounds have announced Lowest Form, out February 19 via Metal Blade, and shared the album’s opening track “Pangs of Conscience.”

Cleveland death metal band 200 Stab Wounds have set a February 19 release date for their new album, Lowest Form, via Metal Blade. The announcement arrives with “Pangs of Conscience,” the record’s opening track.

The song moves with direct, serrated riffing and a lurching low end, the vocals treating the body as a map of damage. It is less concerned with atmosphere than with applying pressure. The title and delivery match the album’s stated territory, which stays close to gore, punishment, and physical consequence rather than abstraction.

Lowest Form runs eight tracks, including “Wicked Butchery,” “Methodically Slaughtered,” “Psychopomp,” and closer “Punishment Eternal.” The tracklist reads like a sequence of warnings, but the music itself carries the weight; no conceptual framing is needed.

The band’s approach on the opening track is blunt-force and unadorned, and Lowest Form appears designed to continue that line without much detour.
