The K‑pop group’s label shared commemorative clips of the four remaining members, four years after their debut, and said formal activity plans would be announced once discussions are finalized.
On the fourth anniversary of NewJeans’ debut, ADOR released a series of short videos featuring Hyein, Haerin, Hanni, and Minji. The label described the clips as “commemorative content,” adding that specific plans for the group’s activity would be announced “after discussions are completely finalized.” The move is the clearest signal yet that the K‑pop act may re-emerge from a self-declared hiatus, though the shape of that return remains undefined.
The group, which launched in 2022 and quickly became one of the most streamed girl groups globally, fell into public crisis in 2024. That year, HYBE audited then‑ADOR CEO Min‑Hee Jin over allegations she tried to make the label independent. Min denied the accusations and accused HYBE of copying NewJeans’ style with another group. She was removed, a decision the members contested in a livestream where they alleged workplace harassment, leaks of personal data, and demanded Min’s reinstatement. The dispute never resolved, and the group announced a hiatus in 2025.
A fifth member, Danielle, left ADOR late last year. What remains is a quartet that once topped the Billboard 200 with the Get Up EP and broke the record for fastest K‑pop act to reach one billion Spotify streams. The anniversary clips offer no musical preview, only a reminder that the contract with ADOR persists. For an act whose rise was defined by a clear aesthetic and tight creative control under Min, any future project will be watched closely for signs of influence—or its absence.
