Cabaret Voltaire Detail Final North American Shows

The electronic pioneers add September dates across the U.S. and Canada, joined by I Speak Machine, as they prepare to close their farewell tour in Europe this October.

Cabaret Voltaire have confirmed the final North American leg of their ongoing farewell tour. The dates begin September 11 in Dallas and run through September 26 in Philadelphia, with I Speak Machine as support. The brief run includes a stop at Austin’s Levitation festival and two nights at Chicago’s Metro before moving to Toronto, Montreal, Boston, and New York.

The tour extends the reunion of founding members Chris Watson and Stephen Mallinder, who came back together in 2025 to mark the group’s 50th anniversary. That decision followed the 2021 death of Richard H. Kirk, the third original member and the sole creative force behind Cabaret Voltaire’s later studio output, including 2020’s Shadow of Fear.

A newly released live album, But What Time Is It Really?, captures the 2025 UK shows. In a statement, Watson described it as a record that “captures the powerful essence of contemporary live performance and establishes a visceral connection to the history of the band.” Mallinder added that it serves as “a memento” respectful of Kirk’s memory.

After the North American dates, Cabaret Voltaire will play a series of European and UK shows throughout October, closing the tour in Sheffield on October 25. Tickets are on sale now.
