CARI Returns with ‘Crashing Out!’

The UK songwriter follows her debut EP *Flux* with a single that leans into relationship chemistry, backed by producers Melo Zed, PRGSHN, and Venna.

A year after her debut EP Flux earned quiet attention, UK artist CARI is back with “Crashing Out!,” a single that turns relationship stress into something more instinctual. The track arrives with a production team that includes close collaborator Melo Zed, Stormzy’s exec-producer PRGSHN, and Venna.

CARI’s velvet voice and personal lyricism had already caught the ear of Sasha Keable and kwn, and last year she featured on Destin Conrad’s Grammy-nominated “Love On Digital,” joining him on his EU tour. On “Crashing Out!,” she channels the friction of a past relationship into an intimate alternative R&B cut. “I flipped the meaning to capture the feeling of leaning into the passion and trusting my romantic and emotional instincts,” she explains.
