The self-released single introduces the group’s dub-inflected, downtempo alt-pop sound ahead of a performance at Bristol’s SACCADE festival.
A new Bristol-based group called DIALS has released its first single. The track, titled ‘Mirror World’, is out now via a self-release.
The collective brings together several established figures from the city’s electronic and experimental circles. Its members include Batu, Memotone’s William Yates, SCALER’s James Rushforth, Eldon, and Bethany Ley.
‘Mirror World’ presents a deep, low-slung take on alt-pop, anchored by the dubby textures and downtempo pacing often associated with Bristol’s musical heritage. The group first performed together at Cafe Kino in September 25 and is scheduled to play next month as part of the multi-venue SACCADE festival in Bristol.
