The New York duo’s latest project emerges from a period of isolation following a stalking incident, channeling obsession and discomfort into six tracks of hyperpop maximalism.
Frost Children have detailed their next release. The New York sibling duo return with a new EP, Tweaker Poem, scheduled for July 10 on RCA. It follows last year’s Sister and a turbulent start to 2026 that, according to the band, involved dealing with a stalker. That experience directly shaped the project’s swift, sleep-deprived creation.
The lead single, “Satellites,” is out now alongside a video directed by Lotus Blossom. The track pairs earnest, emo-damaged vocal hooks with the glitched-out club textures that have become Frost Children’s signature. Band member Angel Prost describes the EP as the product of a single intensive sitting, fueled by discomfort and a need to self-isolate. “The songs on the EP are tracklisted in the order we made them, from morning until the next morning,” Prost explains.
The title and concept frame the obsessed fan as a figure both tragic and worthy of anthems. Prost’s note characterizes the project as “an ode to psychotic obsession and transcendent admiration for an Idol,” acknowledging the blurred line between love letter and deranged fixation. It’s an attempt to beautify the perspective of the dejected loner, the person too caught in private fantasy to read reality.
The tracklist runs six songs: “Satellites,” “Creep,” “Afterlife,” “Gutted,” “Light Leak,” and “Faster.” The video for “Satellites” is currently streaming.
