glaive & kurtains Announce Joint Album ‘God Save The Three’

The duo behind glaive’s recent ‘Y’ALL’ LP will release a full collaborative project on May 8, previewed by the single ‘The Troubles’.

glaive and kurtains will put out a collaborative album called God Save The Three on May 8. It formalizes a partnership that already shaped one of the year’s most restless pop records.

kurtains produced the bulk of glaive’s recent album Y’ALL, a record built around glitch-pop and rave-leaning electronics while tracing the arc of an uprooted teenager returning to his North Carolina hometown at twenty. The new project carries that creative synergy further, pulling two distinct sensibilities into one shared document.

The first single, The Troubles, is streaming now. Recorded in the Cotswolds, the track runs on a propulsive rhythm and pulls from a range of dance music sub-genres. The duo say it mirrors a push-and-pull in their lives, a friction that doesn’t resolve so much as it fuels the music. God Save The Three arrives May 8.
