The musician and podcaster, a central figure in the North American hardcore underground, has passed away.
Bo Lueders, guitarist for the Chicago metallic hardcore band Harm’s Way and co-host of the Hardlore podcast, has died.
His passing marks a significant loss for a tight knit segment of the underground. Through his work in Harm’s Way, Lueders contributed to the band’s dense, punishing sound that helped define a modern wave of hardcore. Beyond the stage, he helped build community through the Hardlore podcast, a platform known for its thoughtful, insider conversations about hardcore culture and life within it.
News of his death was confirmed by music outlet Clash Magazine. No cause of death has been made public. The impact of his dual role as a musician and a conversationalist made him a respected and connective figure, one whose absence will be felt across the scene he helped document and shape.
