The band’s first nine studio albums will be collected in a color vinyl box arriving December 11th, with a standalone 40th anniversary edition of Somewhere in Time preceding it.
Iron Maiden is marking two anniversaries with separate vinyl releases. A 50th Anniversary Studio Album Collection, Part One: 1980 – 1992 gathers the band’s first nine studio albums, while a 40th anniversary color vinyl edition of Somewhere in Time arrives a week earlier.
The box set is scheduled for December 11th. Each album appears on its own colored vinyl—including red/gold for the self-titled debut, silver for The Number of the Beast, oxblood for Somewhere in Time, and white for Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. All records use the 2015 remasters and come packaged with specially designed artwork. An Amazon variant adds an anniversary poster.
The standalone Somewhere in Time reissue is due December 4th, pressed on the same oxblood vinyl included in the box. That album, the band’s sixth, turned 40 this year.
The run of records overlaps with Iron Maiden’s ongoing Run For Your Lives tour, which focuses on the same 1980–1992 era and features Megadeth and Anthrax as support.
