John Waters Plots 2026 Christmas Tour

The filmmaker’s annual holiday comedy ritual returns with 13 stops from Portland to Baltimore starting December 1.

John Waters will take his long-running Christmas comedy show on the road again in December 2026. The tour, announced this week, opens December 1 at Portland’s Aladdin Theater and stretches across 13 cities before closing at Baltimore Soundstage on December 23.

The itinerary includes two-night stands in San Diego (Lou Lou’s) and New York (City Winery), plus stops in Seattle, Palm Springs, Los Angeles, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago, Madison, Dallas, Houston, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster.

Waters’ Christmas show has become its own seasonal institution: a mix of deadpan storytelling, holiday cynicism, and cultural detours delivered by the director behind Pink Flamingos, Hairspray, and Polyester. It operates well outside the boundaries of a traditional variety hour.

Outside of touring, Waters has lately worked in voice acting for video games and is set to appear in the 13th season of American Horror Story. But the hometown finale in Baltimore remains the only date that pulls the whole itinerary into focus, as reliable a destination as any holiday fixture.
