The latest Nu:Tekt device brings effects and analog mixing to a portable, stage-ready format, bypassing the DAW entirely.
Korg arrived at Superbooth 2026 with a move straight out of a magician’s handbook. A blue-glowing synth sits under a tarp, teasing the crowd, while the actual launch happens almost in the margins. The NTS-4, a new addition to the Nu:Tekt range, is already here.
This is a 10-channel analog mixer built for the stage. It packs four stereo mini jack inputs and two Eurorack-compatible mono mini jacks, all funneling through built-in digital effects. Output runs over two quarter-inch jacks, left and right. No DAW required, though USB-MIDI connectivity keeps a digital audio interface close for those who want it.
It’s a practical tool, not a spectacle. Korg’s decision to soft-launch it while stoking hype elsewhere fits the moment. The modular and hardware scenes keep pushing performance away from laptops, and a compact mixer with effects rides that current. The NTS-4 doesn’t compete with the mystery box under the cloth. It fills a quieter, more functional gap.
No price or date was announced, but the mixer is already out in the wild at Superbooth. Attendees can patch it, test the effects, and decide if it earns a spot in their rig. The spectacle across the booth might draw the cameras, but the NTS-4 will probably outlast the buzz.
