The Austin-born festival will stage its inaugural Argentine edition on January 20, 2027, with Melvins, Osees and Boris heading a bill that repeats across three countries in four days.
LEVITATION will hold its first Argentine edition on January 20, 2027 at C Complejo Art Media in Buenos Aires, with Melvins, Osees and Boris at the top of the bill. Frankie and the Witch Fingers and the local psych-rock group Winona Riders complete the lineup. Tickets go on sale Friday, October 9 at noon local time.
Buenos Aires is one of three stops. Santiago follows on January 21, and São Paulo on January 23 at Komplexo Tempo, giving the festival its first footing in South America. The core booking barely shifts between countries: Melvins, Osees, Boris and Frankie and the Witch Fingers appear on both the Argentine and Brazilian bills, while São Paulo adds four Brazilian acts, Test, Bike, Ema Stoned and Bufo Borealis.
That overlap is the point. Leandro Carbonato, coordinating the region’s arrival alongside André Barcinski, told Brazil’s Agenda Metal in August that the goal is a recurring South American circuit, one that lets bands play several countries around the festival instead of a single date. For an event that started in Austin in 2008 as Austin Psych Fest, and has since widened its remit to take in punk, metal, shoegaze and electronic music, the model tests whether that identity travels beyond its home circuit.
Details for the Santiago edition have not been fully announced.
