Lizzy Rain, Niece of Iron Maiden’s Clive Burr, Set for WWE Debut

Lizzy Rain, the niece of late Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr, will debut in WWE’s NXT brand next week, carrying her family’s metal legacy into the ring.

Lizzy Rain, the 28-year-old niece of late Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr, is set to make her WWE debut next week. She will appear on NXT, the company’s developmental brand, on April 28th. A promotional vignette aired during the April 21st episode, introducing her as “The Maiden of Metal,” a direct nod to her uncle’s band.

Rain, who also wrestles under the name Rayne Leverkusen, confirmed her relation to Burr in a 2023 interview. Burr played drums for Iron Maiden from 1979 to 1982, contributing to the band’s first three albums: “Iron Maiden,” “Killers,” and “The Number of the Beast.” He was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in the late 1990s and died from complications in 2013.

NXT is currently headed by legendary wrestler Shawn Michaels. The brand has a history of blending music culture with wrestling personas, and Rain’s debut fits that tradition. It’s a rare crossover between the worlds of professional wrestling and heavy metal, tied directly to one of the genre’s most important bands.
