nate sib Lines Up Debut Album ‘reborn,’ Shares New Single “Face Card”

The 21-year-old LA singer, currently opening Joji’s arena tour, pairs sugary pop hooks with fractured electronic production on his latest release.

nate sib has announced his debut album, reborn, though the details remain thin. The 21-year-old Los Angeles singer, part of the 2hollis extended universe, is currently on the road opening Joji’s arena tour. At least one observer has already reached for the shorthand “hyperpop Justin Bieber.” It’s not unjustified: sib sings about world-altering crushes in a sweet, dexterous voice, while the production stutters and lurches around him.

The new single “Face Card”—released today alongside a Morgan Maher-directed video—is built on a stack of pickup lines and off-kilter house thumps. A month earlier, he put out “Let You Go,” a similarly brief track that clocks under two minutes. Both songs share an impulse that feels almost shameless in its pop ambition, yet the chaotic underpinning makes clear radio shapes unlikely.

reborn is coming via Republic Records, which suggests a proper rollout when it does materialize. For now, there is no tracklist, no release date, only cover art and the sense of an artist testing a friction-filled formula in full view.
