Police Detail Coordinated Drug Seizures at Gathering of the Juggalos

The 26th Gathering of the Juggalos ended its run at Mother Nature’s Riverfront Retreat in Macks Creek, Missouri, on August 22nd, but the legal fallout has continued. Camden County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday that three additional arrests were made as part of a coordinated enforcement effort tied to the festival, which moved to Missouri this year after most of the last decade in Thornville, Ohio.

Deputies charged Dennis Pradham with drug trafficking and delivering a controlled substance after a traffic stop. According to police, the stop yielded 93 pounds of marijuana, 124 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms, 135 grams of ketamine, 33 grams of ketamine mixed with fentanyl, and 66 grams of MDMA. Pradham is being held without bond. Two other attendees, Robyn Weiford and Jesse Williams, each face a charge of delivery of a controlled substance; police said 40 pounds of edibles were seized from them.

Those arrests follow an earlier charge against Kevin “Bluntman” Jones, who authorities said had 128 pounds of marijuana and a couple pounds of mushrooms. The sheriff’s office described the overtime work as necessary “to account for the influx of out-of-state visitors bringing illegal drugs into our community.”

Large-scale drug enforcement at music festivals is not unique to the Juggalos. At this year’s Coachella, where marijuana is legal in California, more than 200 people were arrested. The Missouri operation, however, involved a regional drug task force and other agencies, signaling a deliberate response to the Gathering’s first year in a new location.
