Queens of the Stone Age Announce Ninth Album \u2018Perfecth\u2019

Queens of the Stone Age have set October 30 as the release date for their ninth studio album, Perfecth, via Matador Records. The announcement arrives with a new single, \u201cInsignificant Other,\u201d a moody track about watching someone who once defined your world slip into the background.

\u201cIt\u2019s a song about distance,\u201d Joshua Homme says. \u201cAbout how someone can be your entire world only to simply vanish. And about the strange vertigo of being on the receiving end of that.\u201d

Produced by Homme and Michael Shuman, Perfecth moves through different forms of love \u2014 family, friendship, lust, loss. The record\u2019s conceptual frame comes from kintsugi, the Japanese practice of mending broken ceramics with gold, treating repair not as concealment but as part of the object\u2019s beauty.

The album follows 2023\u2019s In Times New Roman\u2026 and lands as the band returns to the road, including a North American stadium run with Foo Fighters and headline dates across Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Singapore.
