The Puerto Rican artist partnered with Buchanan’s Blended Scotch Whisky for a single premiere that leaned into Latin culture and the upcoming World Cup.
Rauw Alejandro introduced his new single “Dando Vueltas” at a New York event that wove together music, sport, and local Latin identity. The evening, hosted with Buchanan’s Blended Scotch Whisky, gathered more than 250 people along the Hudson River. It functioned less as a standard listening party and more as a deliberate cultural convergence, pointing toward the 2026 FIFA World Cup without ever needing to state the connection outright.
The room drew a mix that felt considered. Brooklyn’s Toñita and Bronx duo Planta Industrial were present, alongside actresses Dascha Polanco and Maleni Cruz and a cluster of NYC creators that included Flavio and Flavio, Viviane de Castro, and Maria Beltre. Producer Nino Segarra (Dimelo Nino), DJ Flipstar, and tattoo artist Sare E. Gonzalez filled out a guest list that avoided the usual industry-only hollowness. The result was a premiere that reflected the texture of the city itself.
With global attention on Latin music continuing to widen and a major football tournament on the horizon, the event read as a low-key alignment of cultural forces. No visuals or fragments of the track have been shared publicly yet, which keeps the focus on what the night actually was: a community moment built around sound, movement, and the rhythms that have always connected them.
