Sabrina Carpenter stages a cinematic Coachella set

The pop singer framed her Friday night headline performance as a theatrical arrival in Hollywood, complete with a custom ‘Sabrinawood’ sign and filmed cameos.

Sabrina Carpenter headlined Coachella’s Friday night, delivering a set conceived as a grand, cinematic entrance into Hollywood. The production was built around a towering “Sabrinawood” sign, a clear nod to the festival’s own iconic landmark, which functioned as both set piece and performer’s perch.

The show followed a narrative of arrival and fame, punctuated by multiple costume changes and elaborate stage transitions. Its final segment shifted into a direct homage to classic Hollywood, filled with marquee lights.

Interspersed throughout were pre-filmed vignettes featuring actor cameos. Sam Elliott appeared as a police officer introducing “Sabrinawood,” while Susan Sarandon portrayed an older version of Carpenter herself. The interludes added a layer of theatrical, self-referential commentary to the pop spectacle.
