Squeeze Cancel Wolf Trap Show After Fatal Tour Bus Accident

Squeeze canceled their scheduled performance at Wolf Trap in Vienna, Virginia after a tour bus collapsed on a man in the venue parking lot, killing him.

Fox 5 reported that the man was working under the bus when a supporting apparatus failed. Police arrived in the afternoon and pronounced him dead at the scene. Authorities have not released his name, and it is not clear whether he was a member of the tour’s road crew.

The band, currently touring North America with Adam Ant and Haircut 100, said in a statement that they were “deeply saddened and shocked” by the incident. The cancellation followed discussions with the venue and relevant authorities.

Squeeze said they will work with the promoter and venue on the possibility of rescheduling and will share information with ticket holders. The accident stops one date on a tour pairing three veteran acts, but the immediate focus remains on the fatality at the outdoor venue outside Washington, DC.
