The Slovak pop artist sets a Detroit-to-Mexico City run behind a debut produced by Blake Slatkin and Dylan Brady, with a new video for “Nicole Kidman.”
Slovak pop singer ADÉLA has confirmed her first North American headlining tour, with dates running from Detroit on September 9 through two nights in Mexico City on October 15 and 16. The Red Bottoms Tour supports her debut album PRIMA, produced by Blake Slatkin and Dylan Brady.
The album title carries a double meaning: it marks ADÉLA’s first record and borrows the term used for principal ballerinas. That frame runs through songs like “KGB” and “Ain’t in LA,” which draw a line between the discipline of classical dance and the demands of crossing over as a pop artist. Before releasing music, ADÉLA studied English in Bratislava and appeared on the 2023 reality program Dream Academy, which later produced KATSEYE.
Alongside the album, ADÉLA shared a video for “Nicole Kidman.” In an accompanying statement, she described attending a Golden Globes event and feeling, after the styling, “like Nicole Kidman right now,” adding that she watched Eyes Wide Shut and came to see Kidman as “the” movie star. The tour also includes a San Francisco stop at Portola Music Festival on September 27.
