Teddy Swims Brings Apartment-Set Spectacle and Surprise Guests to Coachella

The singer transformed the main stage into a dynamic apartment set, hosting Joe Jonas, Vanessa Carlton, and David Lee Roth during his afternoon performance.

Teddy Swims framed his Coachella main stage set as a theatrical spectacle. His stage was built to resemble a detailed apartment, complete with a living room, bedroom, garage, and a front door with a working doorbell.

The bell rang three songs into his afternoon performance. It signaled the first in a series of guest appearances, beginning with Joe Jonas joining for a rendition of the Jonas Brothers ballad “When You Look Me in the Eyes.”

The cameos continued with Vanessa Carlton, who performed her hit “A Thousand Miles,” and a finale featuring Van Halen’s David Lee Roth. The elaborate set design and surprise collaborators defined a show that aimed to transcend its early time slot.

Swims’ own material, which blends soul, pop, and indie influences, formed the core of the performance. The production underlined a growing trend at the festival where ambitious stage concepts and unexpected duets become a primary focus for artists across the lineup.
