They Are Gutting a Body of Water and Horse Jumper of Love return with “charter spec,” out now on Julia’s War x Smoking Room x ATO Records. It is the Philadelphia shoegaze band’s first release since the 2025 album LOTTO, and it finds them working directly with Dimitri Giannopoulos, who fronts the Boston-based Horse Jumper of Love.

The two bands’ sounds have long overlapped. They share a taste for dense, melodic guitar work and a
