During Game 4 of the NBA Finals, the Staten Island group turned Madison Square Garden into a rally, with Method Man closing the set with a blunt “Knicks in 5.”

Madison Square Garden has seen Wu-Tang Clan in many configurations, but rarely as a halftime act for a team down double digits. On Wednesday night, with the Knicks trailing the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, the Staten Island group took the court in an attempt to shift the energy. The set leaned on direct hits: “Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthing ta F’ Wit,” “Method Man,” and others drawn from a catalog built for confrontation.

The performance was a departure from the emotional register of last year’s Garden appearance, billed as the final time all eight surviving members would tour together. That night, as Rolling Stone noted, drew a “grown and grimey crowd” dressed in Wu-Tang Nike Dunks and black-and-yellow shirts. This time, the sea of bodies outside the arena wore Knicks blue and orange, and the group’s task was more functional: reignite a fanbase that had just watched a dismal first half.
