Ye staged the Yeezy Season 01 fashion show in Los Angeles on Wednesday, his first Yeezy presentation since the 2022 Paris Fashion Week exhibit. The event ran 17 minutes, with models in black military-style garb circling a white dome: combat boots, trench coats, leather jackets, alongside tan boots, red pants, sweaters and bombers that pulled from earlier Yeezy silhouettes.
The soundtrack carried the news for anyone tracking his output. As he has done at past shows, Ye previewed unreleased music, and two tracks surfaced across the run. On the first he sings over a high-pitched sample and drums: "Must be out my mind/ Haven't felt this way in a long time." The second leans on a blaring siren, with Ye repeating "I went through your phone/ Who the hell is Tone?/ I went through your phone." Rising rapper Nettspend walked as one of the models.
The guest list read as a reunion. Big Sean, Kid Cudi, 2 Chainz, Natalie Nunn, Sab Zada, designer Jerry Lorenzo and model India Love were on hand, along with his wife Bianca Censori and his four children with Kim Kardashian, North, Saint, Psalm and Chicago. He posed with all four, a rare public appearance for the family together. The show arrives as Ye continues to face backlash over years of antisemitic hate speech, and after he took out a Wall Street Journal ad apologizing in January. Kid Cudi's presence continues a thread ROMBO has followed since the two appeared together in Chicago.
Musically, the runway has long served Ye as a test lab. The Yeezy seasons of the mid-2010s introduced rough versions of songs that later hardened into The Life of Pablo, and the fashion show has functioned as a place to hear material before it has a title, a date or a mix. What played here on Wednesday was skeletal by design: a vocal hook, a sample, a siren. The second song's lyric turns on a name, "Tone," repeated like a question the track never answers.
That is the detail worth carrying out of the dome. Ye's Bully arrived in March and debuted at No. 2, and he has spent much of 2026 in stadiums, with dates from Chicago to St. Petersburg behind him. He has two shows left this year, AT&T Stadium in Dallas on Saturday and Glendale, Arizona, on November 21. Whether the phone-check song and the siren make those setlists is the open question; the runway has already given them a first audience.
